We use only the best high quality Hard and Soft waxes from Europe that will leave your skin soft and smooth. Your health and safety is paramount, We Don’t Double Dip the wax sticks back into the pot. EWWW! A clean stick is always used once and then thrown out. Depending on the area being waxed you will be provided a disposable gown to wear for waxing.
PREPARATION FOR WAXING
It’s important to start exfoliating your skin well in advance prior to your waxing appointment. Exfoliating helps to get rid of the dry dead skin or trapped hairs under the skin which can create restrictions for the hair being removed. You also want to moisturize the skin after the shower to keep the skin and hairs hydrated this will avoid hair breakage during the waxing.
The length of the hair should be the length of a grain of rice (3 weeks of growth). Best to trim it before you come for waxing otherwise the longer the hair is, more discomfort. If you’re unable to trim yourself, no problem we can do it for you for an additional fee. If you’re unsure of what or how to exfoliate, give us a quick call and we’d be happy to help you.
WHAT TO AVOID
Avoid sun tanning a few days before waxing otherwise the skin will be to sensitive to wax and may cause skin lifting. If you want to spray tan, best to do this after your waxing appointment otherwise the wax will remove the tan. Wait at least 48 hours after waxing before you spray tan otherwise you will have brown dots from the spray tan going into the hair follicle where the hair was. Going on vacation, don’t wait till the last minute to wax, your skin will be sensitive and will be easily irritated, especially if you are new to waxing you don’t know how your skin may respond afterwards. Best to wax 4-5 days before you leave.
WAXING DAY
Please come prepared to your appointment with clean fresh skin. Avoid drinking alcohol and or caffeine as this may cause increased sensitivity. Wear loose clothing on the day of waxing, track pants, dress etc nothing tight fitted or restrictive (leggings, tight jeans) as it will irritate the skin.
AFTER WAXING
Wait 24 hours to go swimming, saunas, exercising, sun tanning, sex, exfoliating, this time is given to allow for the skin to calm down and for the follicles to close.
